It starts here Boise.
I thought Idaho was known for it’s potatoes, not beef?
This time I was successful in my puppy smuggling endeavors.
He is practically Smokey himself.
Though the drive is long and slow and kind of bumpy, it sure is beautiful.
See what I mean?!
I CAN’T BELIEVE MY EYES.
We’ve made it!
Little Red here looks over the drying berries all night for us.
Tra La La down we go to the creek.
Baby Cole’s first encounter with the cold, brisk waters.
He didn’t like it so much.
He does like adventures, though.
His first lil’ swim in his adorable little life jacket.
Baby Cole’s getting down with the rest of us.
The Ice Hole.
He loves the sand!
Living the dream!
Scuba Steve here just found something really special at the bottom.
Look at that thing shine!
That mosquito population was real.
This fuggin guy.
Or in our case, happy hour!
This is to illustrate the importance of Clamato for Michiladas Vs Tomato Juice for a Bloody Mary.
All the rest is the same though!
He’s licking his chops with his eye on the drink!
Definitely Mal’s pup.
You take your eye off him for one second!
Oh boy, this isn’t how I remembered.
Hey there’s one!…
It’s pretty slim pickings out here.
Seeing three plump berries one one bush, it’s looking like a jackpot right now!
Yet we search high and low.
Even Mal is having a hard time spotting the precious little Huckle berries, and she has been doing this her whole life!
But then you find one like this and hope remains.
Hope got us that far.
Ridin’ down to the Devil’s Bathtub.
The view is not so bad!
What lovely little inside out flowers!
Off we go!
To the Harmonica Festival!
Our first sight of the Harmonica festival!
And then we found these hats!
We were loving these hats.
I would have come back for that hat.
Seems simple enough…
Of course I gotta give it the ol’ college try.
As well as the good ol’ college fail.
That was totally rigged but we knew someone who did this successfully so at least somebody gave this man a run for his money!
We took a tour!
This one was so cute she wagged us down from across the street.
Of course we had to meet her!
Just a man and his dog.
YELLOWPINE OR BUST
This is our version of “Kings Cup”.
The person whose card breaks the seal has to drink.
I was personally victimized during this pre-game.
Back to town we go at dusk!
The guy on the poster and the guy sitting down very strongly resemble each other.
I don’t think it is a coincidence.
“The Strip” is lit.
Incase you’re wondering, he wasn’t wearing any under ware.
Oh, nice bathroom…
Back in the tavern bathroom, my drunk ass is taking mirror selfies like this is 2008.
Barefoot Harmonica Blues.
I like ’em.
I got this whole dance floor moving!
When all the dancing = ET FOAM HOME
They asked for the flash!
They didn’t but as you can see they are still happy AF.
Everybody’s getting downnnnn!
Our favorite beloved bartender, Robin!
Cheers to her!
This kid is gonna dance.
Going hard in the Mimosas!
Nature walk- off – the – hangover.
Proud Mama and Her Lil’ Baby.
The pleasure is all mine!
There was a fire and this was all the hazy, eerie ash.
Kristi and Amaro!
Meanwhile three dogs all play fetch with the same giant stick!
I will never stop loving wild flowers.
Or naturally occurring water, I will always love that too!
This little weirdo is like a two-for-one!
I think most people define these purples as weeds, but don’t worry, I love you anyway.
Something about this stream..
Growing from the water are these little delicate beauties.
Back to the Harmonica Festival we go!
He is GETTIN IT!
Gave up on trying to take pictures while dancing.
Shout out to Mal for trying to take pics as I drunkenly point to her!
Also, shout out to my dance partner for dancing me hard enough to actually put my camera down.
There is another Osprey nest on that telephone pole!
A momma and her little Bambi baby.
When you see a bald eagle and panic to adjust your settings!
There he is in the tree!
Making our way to the Hot Springs as the sun already goes down.
We BEARly saw him!
That hot spring tarnished the F out of my favorite ring!
The journey home is shared in the back seat with this lil’ guy.
I have endless thanks to Mallorie and her family for letting me join them in their lovely cabin for the second time, it was just as awesome as the first time, if not better!
